Final Magazine

After completing my magazine and evaluation, we had a workshop where we were able to make any improvements in our work and blog.
Here is my finished magazine:

This is my finished front cover where I have used a more conventional cover image. In my opinion, this cover is much better than the one I originally produced as it is laid out much better and the cover lines don't look messy. It looks much more like a proper magazine cover I changed the colour and layout of the masthead to make it work better on the page. I changed the masthead a bit so it stood out more on the cover.

This is my previous front cover. I had used an image that wasn't a conventional magazine image and the cover lines looked a bit messy as they were all different fonts and sizes.

This Top of the Pops magazine has a cover image that is similar to mine ( except that it doesn't take up the entire cover because it has other smaller images on the cover as well)

This is my finished contents page. I haven't made any changes to this as I didn't feel it needed any major improvements. It used conventions of real magazine contents pages like the editors note and two sections 'Regulars' and 'This Month' to help readers easily find what they want to read. I have also included reference to social networking websites to allow readers to interact with the magazine. This represents my audience of young females as many of my target audience will most likely be using social networking websites on a regular basis.

Here is my final DPS, the only changes I made to this was moving the title and pull quote to make the look better. The DPS article uses conventions of a magazine as it has the Q&A section which most magazines have. It also includes a pull quote which attracts the audience to read the entire article and to find out more.
